Session 1 will be Sunday Mornings @ 8am.

Dates are:

11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13

All sessions are held at the Gardner Veterans Arena located in Gardner, MA.  Times and dates are subject to change.

Capacity: 22 Kids
Costs
The cost for participating in the program will be $60.00 per child/per session.
Equipment
All children will be required to wear a helmet (hockey helmet preferred), gloves/mittens. No child or adult will be allowed on the ice without a helmet. We also recommend elbow/knee pads to soften falls, but they are not required. Rentals are not available. Please place a piece of tape with your child’s first name on the front of his or her helmet. Protection for the teeth is highly recommended.  Boys and girls are also encouraged to use a protective mask (cage or visor).  A good pair of proper fitting skates is important as well. Hockey sticks will be necessary for experienced skaters.
Masks are required for everyone entering the rink while they are not physically on the ice. All instructors will be wearing masks on the ice. State guidance on this is unclear - we would rather error on the side of caution and encourage all parents to have their child wearing masks at all times including while on the ice.

Due to Covid-19, all skaters are encouraged to come to the rink fully dressed except for skates. Skates can be put on once inside the rink in the area that FMC has designated (typically the first row of the bleachers).

There will be NO Congregating in the lobby and parents will be sitting in the stands 6' apart.
Only 1 Guardian / Parent allowed per skater in the rink during the lesson.

All skaters are REQUIRED  to register with USA Hockey prior to skating.  Once you have completed your online registration with NCMYH please visit: https://membership.usahockey.com/ to register with USA Hockey.  A link to USA hockey is also available from our home page under "links".  You must enter your skater's USA Hockey Confirmation number in their profile or bring a copy to the 1st session in order for them to enter on to the ice.  No exceptions will be made.

2020-2021 NCMYH MITE ADM SESSION I

This is the Mite ADM (Mini-Mites) - SESSION 1
Mite ADM is a cross ice program for learn to skate graduates.  It is an excellent beginner Hockey program open to kids between 2012 and 2015 birth years.

We're starting later in the season:

  • Session I - Starts November 7th and runs 10 weeks - Cost is $250
  • Session II Starts January 16th and runs 10 weeks - ending March 28th - Cost is $250

Each Session has 1 practice and 1 "Game" per week locally at Gardner Veterans Arena (or another local rink if necessary).

There will be NO PRO-Rating on these sessions for missed practices or games and we also did away with the registration and payment schedule. Instead of a larger tuition and committment for the entire season, we divided the season into two equal sessions allowing parents some flexibility with their schedule.

If you need a payment schedule for either of the Mite ADM programs, please email Treasurer@ncmyh.org and we can work with you.

Lastly, as with other programs NCMYH is running this year, if Covid-19 ends the Mite ADM season before it begins - NCMYH will issue full refunds. If the season is shut-down before the session is over, due to Covid-19 Guidelines preventing us from finishing the session, we will issue partial refunds based on when the session was ended.

If you have any questions please feel free to email youthhockey@ncmyh.org

House Hockey 2020-2021

NCMYH House Hockey Program

NCMYH will run a 15 week house hockey program for youth 9 to 14 years of age (goes by birth year, so 2011 to 2006 birth years accepted) starting in mid-November and running to mid-February. This program will be ideal for youth who want to learn to play hockey but are too old for the mite level developmental program. It is also great for youth who may have been out of hockey for a while or who are not ready to commit to the time and expense of travel hockey.  The program will consist of a one hour practice session and one game each week. Games will be in-house with youth of comparable skill and age lined up to play each other.   Coaches will run the practice sessions and oversee the games.   All games and practices will be at one of our three local rinks in Gardner, Ashburnham or Winchendon. Players are required to wear full protective hockey gear including helmets, pads and gloves and must supply their own skates and stick.

For families new to hockey there will be an orientation session two weeks prior to the start of the season where we will discuss equipment, rules and expectations.  For youth who have little or no skating experience we highly recommend that they attend our Learn to skate/learn to play hockey sessions at Cushing Academy during weekends starting in late September.
